Hi all, my name is Amelia James and I am a 14yr old event rider from the South West. In this blog I will be talking a bit about myself and why I chose the Kyron Kontakt Breeches. I have been riding since I was very little and I have been brought up around an eventing life as my mum was once an international event rider.
I currently own two rides, Little George a 14.2hh, 6yr old Connie who I have evented unaffiliated and am part of the NSEA and PC teams. This season I am hoping to BE event him and take him to PC champs as well as NSEA. My other ride Ech Na Sliabh (Steve) is new to the team and I am currently competing him at 1m and am hoping to get on the South West 100U18 team and go onto PT.
I have brought on many young ponies which have now been sold and I am happy to say that they are doing very well with their new riders.
My top two highlights has to come from my old pony Hayestown Donny, he was a 14hh dun Connie who we recently sold locally. He taught me everything possible and together we qualified for many championships including the Pony Club Championships in all three events (dressage, showjumping and eventing). We came back with an individual win in our dressage section and then went through to the ride off where we ended up 6th against top dressage ponies from all over the country.
Another highlight of mine would be winning my local event, Dauntsey BE, on a 25.3 double clear against tough opposition.
My Kyron Kontakt Breeches:
So now you know a little about me I would like to talk about my Kyron Kontakt Breeches.
These breeches are definitely my favourites out of my rather large selection of jodhpurs. They are super comfy as well as being stylish and flattering on the rider. The grip ensures secureness but allows plenty of movement, the perfect grip if you ask me!
Unlike some other breeches, they do not rub or pinch behind the knee whilst bent down, which helps when doing polo or putting on boots!
These lovely stylish breeches come in a range of colours to suit the rider at a great price from Equestyle.
I hope you have enjoyed reading my blog and have persuaded you to buy a pair of these fab breeches!
If you have any questions I am happy to help on either my eventing page: Amelia James Eventing on Facebook, or @mj_eventing on Instagram.
Finally, good luck to anyone out competing this season, I hope it goes to plan:-)
